She answered all of my questions and was incredibly thorough. She explained that she's happy to 'gift' her services but always likes to talk to the gift receiver before scheduling a job. She wants to make sure the person is in the right place to get organized. This spoke loads to me! Tracy's motivation isn't to simply book an appointment but to effectively equip and empower a person for the right reasons (as opposed a family member's agenda). I told my mom about the gift early, she had a phone call with Tracy and they set up an appointment to figure out a filing system for all of my family's papers, mail and documents. My mom loved her time with Tracy! Tracy was warm, friendly, professional, strategic and helped empower her to establish systems that she can carry into the future. This is exactly what I wanted. Anyone can help you clean out a room but it's a rare person who helps you change old behavioral patterns and develop new systems. I also appreciated Tracy's kind and compassionate demeanor. Dealing with clutter can be a vulnerable and shameful process. Tracy brought the exact opposite spirit to the table--one of encouragement and compassion. I only wish I lived in San Diego so I could meet with Tracy myself! Even though I'm already an organization nut, I know she could teach me a thing or two!
